Directors
Monica Carpentier first fell in love with Shakespeare in 9th grade when the class read Romeo and Juliet. The way the language sounded was so beautiful to her ears she didn’t even mind the completely preventable ending. That summer she dragged her family with her to Cedar City and made them go to the festival where they ate tarts, sniffed the summer honeysuckle in the air, and were model audience members. Then she started dragging her friends along with her as well and it became a yearly pilgrimage. Monica has directed 4 Shakespearean plays and no one has gotten hurt. She obtained her BA in English from BYU. She is the mother of 4 adorable humans, 1 human-canine hybrid, and wife of an extremely patient man. Whether you are a cream faced loon or flowering honey-tongued wafer-cake, she’ll always be happy to Bard it up with you.
Amanda Hansen has always had a passion and talent for theater and performance. She's performed in many community, church and semi professional productions throughout my life. She's directed and taught performers and musicians for the last 20 years." I LOVE THE STAGE!" But, she never really cared for or understood Shakespeare until she mentored in this project, then she fell in love! She is so excited to be working with the Shakespearean Thespians again. On with the show!
Tiffany Sanderson has been involved in theater since she was 10 years old. She fell in love with Shakespeare in High school, and has been involved in stage managing a few Shakespeare productions, including a farce version of Romeo and Juliet, and The Taming of the Shrew. She has participated in dozens of productions, both onstage and backstage, including producing a The Grinch and a Holiday Variety Show, within the homeschooling community. Aside from theater, she loves reading, crochet, organic gardening, learning new things, being in nature, and meeting new people. She’s thrilled to be working with such a fabulous group of mentors and kids, to learn about the art of performing!
Taliesa Walker is a fun loving 18 years who is always found singing. You will never find her listening to radio because she strictly only listens to musicals. She loves performing on stage and has been in many shows. One of her favorite roles she has played was an ugly stepsister in Cinderella. Some of the thing she enjoys doing in her free time are reading, drawing, singing, dancing, and of course theater. She has worked at a lot of fun places like Utah’s Hogle Zoo, Hartvigsen School and the crowning jewel Hale Center Theater.
